After production, ice falls into the storage bin below where it stays frozen and awaits use. The bin door stands at a 53-degree angle for convenient ice access and automatically latches in an open position. To ensure ice tastes pure, this unit has a built-in holder that stores the scoop above the ice level, preventing germs on the frequently touched handle from contaminating the ice.
